The cultural sights of the city consist of two noble castles. A large noble building, the so-called the older Miholjac castle was built in 1818 by Baroness Marija Ana von Prandaua (nee Pejačević). Another Miholjac beauty is the newer castle of the Countáth count family with a beautiful English-style park in the style of English rulers Tudor. , and the beauty of the city is enriched by the Matica hrvatska park in the very center of the city and the smaller park of St. Florian.
All this gives a romantic look to the city on the Drava, rarely seen in flat Slavonia. Near the town is a popular picnic area of the inhabitants of Donji Miholjac – “Stara Drava”. Hunting, which has a long tradition in these areas, is possible in the nearby forests, and fishing on the Drava River and pond. Not far from Donji Miholjac, there is a protected bird reserve “Podpanj” with 106 bird species, among which there are about twenty endangered species in Europe.
